| Ms. Campanaro Welcomes Students to Room 16
Well, it's that time of year again! Summer is over and it's back to school
time. I hope you've all enjoyed your summer.
For those of you unaware, this is my second year of teaching. I spent four
years graduating from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of
Science in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology prior to joining the
staff at Meadowside Elementary School.
Some of the topics we will be studying this year will be balancing &
weighing and butterflies. Projects will be completed in all subject areas. Our
Numeric lessons will focus on areas ranging from adding & subtracting,
regrouping, time, money, geometry and measurement. A large portion of the
curriculum will focus on adding and subtracting multiple digits. Our literacy
lessons will be comprised of reading a variety of stories in our Guided
Reading groups as well as a whole class and in learning venters. In addition,
our primary writing instruction will focus o n Personal Narrative Writing.
Each day will begin with a review of the day's schedule and morning meeting.
It is a wonderful opportunity for students to get to know fellow classmates
and to get to know me!
This classroom is based upon total respect. A learning environment based
upon one of respect creates a comfortable place for all student to learn. I
hope you are as excited as I am for this year. Eager and hard working students
are going to have a great year.
