Welcome to my suggestions page. This page is intended to provide you with valuable tips and suggestions that will help foster your child's love of learning. Reading Tips

Here are a few tips you might find helpful when reading with your child:

1. Find a comfortable setting to read together. You might want to create a reading corner in your child's room or any other place that's quiet.
2. Take your time, let the story set the tone and the pace.
3. Follow the words with your fingers as you read and give your child the job of turning the pages (especially helpful with emerging readers!)
4. As your child's reading skills improve, have him or her read the book to a younger sibling, a friend or even a teddy bear!
5. Be an enthusiastic audience and give lots of praise! Your words of encouragement play a crucial role in your child's confidence as a reader.
