SchedulingSTUDENTS: How To Make an Appointment with Me: There are a few different ways to do this. 1) Stop by my office before school, during homeroom, or after school, and we’ll find time in your schedule for you to come by. I usually try and see kids during homeroom, the study part of lunch, or a study hall, but am also almost always here before school starts, and after school ends. We’ll talk, find a time, and I’ll give you a pass for you to show your teacher at the beginning of the period, and then you can come on down!! 2) I can also be reached through email! You’re already on my website, so you can click on the link that says email, or click on the mailbox up at the top and send a quick note letting me know you want to see me, and I’ll figure out a way to get you down here and let your teacher know. 3) In case of an emergency, your teachers are very understanding. If something happens and you can’t wait until it’s your study period, let one of your teachers know and they will probably call down to make sure I’m here, and I’m available that way as well. How I Make an Appointment with You: As I have been telling you during my homeroom visits, it’s important to me to get to know each and every one of your individually, so I will be sending passes to everyone at some point. I want to spend some time getting to know you, to hear about your summer, or your interests, or just what it’s been like starting middle school!! Sometimes other things happen and I just want to check in with you to make sure everything’s ok, so you might get a pass then too. The blue passes are NEVER a sign that you are in trouble! You will get these passes during homeroom, and they will have your name, the date and what time we want you to stop by. Check in with your teacher and then come down to the office on the second floor. Some things you might want to see me for: -anything to do with a schedule,
-to get help with study and organizational skills,
-friend problems
-school problems
-changes at home that are upsetting..or really anything that might be bothering you!!
-to say hello and tell me what's new and exciting PARENTS: I am available to meet with you individually by appointment only. I am also the one who can help you set up a team meeting. The teams meet at set times each day, and we try to keep parent conferences to certain days when it is easiest for the most staff to be there. Please keep this in mind when you contact me. Also, please encourage your child to make an appointment with me if something is going on. However, I know how hard it is for some to do that, and if there’s something you would like me to know, or if you would like me to talk to your child, PLEASE don’t hesitate to call or email. |
