correctly apply the terms with a reason. Use active reading to double check.
Example:

Not acceptable: Cuneiform would be very difficult to read. (This
sentence doesn't tell us what cuneiform is or why it would be difficult to
read.)
Acceptable/Elaborated: Cuneiform would be very difficult to read because it
is made up of wedges and lines written on clay tablets. (This sentence
gives a reason and elaborates on what cuneiform is. Your writing should be
just as descriptive.)

diffusion, civilizations, and cultural regions.
While you read, think of how culture can change. Ask your parents how
culture has changed in their lifetime. You may have to prompt them with
examples like the changes in popular music, dress (ask mom and dad about big
hair from the 80s), and even food. We'll discuss a few of your examples
tomorrow.
