December 14-18,2009 MINI RESEARCH REPORT- DUE DATE- TUESDAY DECEMBER 22,2009 IMPORTANT- EVERYTHING IS DUE FROM EVERYONE BY TUESDAY. EXCEPTIONS MUST HAVE A WRITTEN NOTE FROM A PARENT OR FROM MRS. PIERCE SEE BELOW FOR THE 4 THINGS YOU MUST HAND IN TO MRS.PIERCE ON TUESDAY You will not be required to read this week, because you need to be working on your Mini Research Report. Research Homework- 1.Note cards for each main idea I will not collect you note cards. 2.Outline-make an outline from the Note Cards (just like we did for the Bats story) 3.Essay- write it using the Outline with topic sentences for each paragraph, and detail sentences to support the topic sentence. Remember a paragraph can't be too many sentences. 4.Visual - Begin to think about the visual you will use during your presentation. 5.Oral Presentation skills will be discussed in class on Friday before you make your presentation. 6. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 ALL Research Reports due in to Mrs. Pierce Include: 1.Typed Outline 2.Typed Essay 3.Typed Bibliography/Works Consulted- ( your database source-Bowling Bell Bottoms and ... and your Internet Source or Internet Sources) 4. Your Visual ( object or large poster---poster must be large enough to be easily seen from the back of the room) If you will be ready to present to the class on Monday please let me know and bring in the above 4 things on Monday. Homework : Reading Record Sheet (RRS)- Every student is to read for a minimum of 20 minutes each night at home. Your reading in school may not substitute for this at home reading homework. You may include the number of pages you read in school with the number of pages you read for homework each night in you daily reading total on you RRS. .
