Please think about what you plan to do tomorrow before you go and school and
after you get home from school, all involving reflexive verbs and things you
do to yourself. Do you plan to take a shower tomorrow morning, brush your
teeth, comb your hair, or put on a sweater? What will you do to get ready to
go to sleep tomorrow evening? Please write five sentences telling us what you
plan to do to get ready for school tomorrow…and five sentences telling what
you plan to do to get ready for a good night’s sleep tomorrow night. EXAMPLE:
Pienso lavarme y secarme el pelo antes de salir para la escuela mañana. Mis
hermanitos y yo pensamos acostarnos temprano mañana.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
What are you going to do before going to the circus with your classmates?
What are your friends going to do before they go to the amusement park?
Please write ten good sentences which tell us what you and others are going
to do before going out to have a pleasant time. EXAMPLE: Voy a ducharme y
peinarme antes de salir al circo con mis compañeros de clase. Mis hermanitos
van a ponerse los zapatos deportivos antes de ir al parque de atracciones con
nuestros primos.

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please prepare for a fine quiz tomorrow (Thursday) on the Segundo Paso of
Chapter 7. This includes PENSAR, IR + A + INFINITIVO, and the reflexive verbs
in the infinitive form. You should know the most important reflexive verbs by
this time. Please study and learn them, so that you may readily use them in
conversation. Thank you.

4. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Please study Page 193 of your textbook, paying close attention to the Así se
dice section. Having done so, please write five (5) invitations to a friend
(i.e. Oye, ¿Te gustaría ir con nosotros al parque de atracciones el sábado?),
followed by a response which turns down the invitation and offers an excuse
(i.e. Me gustaría, pero no puedo. Tengo la gripe porcina, y mi mamá no me
deja salir de la casa. Tal vez otro día.)

1. lunes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please take the very challenging concept we learned in class today and write
ten well-constructed sentences in which you tell us what you must do, should
do, ought to be, or have to do before going out with your family or friends.
Each sentence must begin with “No estoy listo (or lista) porque todavía…” and
then continue with “tengo que,” “debo,” “necesito,” and the rest of the
sentence. Please be cautious in wording these important sentences.

2. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please use such phrases as “todos los días,” “todas las tardes,” “todas las
noches,” “con frecuencia,” “casi todo el tiempo,” “de vez en cuando,”
and “cada semana” in combination with the new verbs you have learned –
combined with such verbs as NECESITAR, TENER QUE, DEBER, etc. to create ten
sentences explaining necessities related to your daily routine. Please do not
attempt to do this homework until you have learned how to do it in class on
Wednesday.

3. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Please practice using the new verbs you have learned in class this week, and

1. lunes (para entregar el martes)
Please use the verbs we addressed in class today, which are stem-changing
verbs in the E>IE category. With your conjugating sheet in front of you,
please write ten sentences involving as many stem-changing verbs as you can
possibly incorporate. EXAMPLE: Tú quieres ir al circo este sábado, pero
nosotros preferimos ir al rodeo mexicano. Mi hermana empieza a hacer su tarea
a las 6:00, pero yo comienzo a trabajar a las 7:00.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please use the stem-changing verb VENIR to write ten well-constructed
sentences in an appropriate manner. Please remember that the first-person
singular form of the verb is Vengo (just as TENER is conjugated in the first
person as Tengo). EXAMPLE: ¿Vienes a mi casa esta tarde? Mi abuelita viene a
visitarnos en noviembre. Venimos al colegio con una sonrisa, porque nos
encanta aprender con nuestros amigos.

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
The verb PENSAR, when it is not followed by “que” but, rather, by an
infinitive, means “to plan to do something.” Pienso ir al zoológico con mis
primos el sábado means “I plan to go to the zoo with my cousins on Saturday.”
Please write ten sentences – which can include questions – telling what you,
your family members, and your pals plan to do in the near future...or asking
others about their own plans. EXAMPLE: ¿Qué piensas hacer este fin de
semana? Mis hermanos y yo pensamos ver el Espectáculo 3 aquí en el colegio
la semana que viene. Mi mamá piensa preparar arroz con pollo mañana.

4. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
It is extremely important to practice and use the IR+A+INFINITIVE
construction, to express what one is “going to do” in the near future. Please
write ten good, carefully-worded sentences using IR+A+INFINITIVE to tell us
what you, your family members, and your pals are going to do soon…..and not
where you are going. EXAMPLE: Yo voy a montar en bicicleta esta tarde,
después de hacer la tarea. Mi hermanito va a luchar con sus cuates, como
siempre. Mis abuelitos van a bailar el mambo esta noche, porque hay una
fiesta en la casa de sus amigos. Yo no voy a regresar esta noche.

Please use Page 183 of your textbook as a model, and write a telephone
conversation in which you call a friend on the telephone. Your friend’s
parent answers the telephone. You very politely greet the parent and you ask
to speak with your friend. Please use the vocabulary on Page 183 – and other
appropriate vocabulary – to create your own telephone conversation.

2, martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please use ¿Te gustaría? Si, me gustaría. ¿Les gustaría? and Sí, nos
gustaría to write ten inviting questions and ten accepting responses. You are
inviting a friend or classmate – or a group of friends – to go somewhere or
to do something. For each invitation, there must be an appropriate response.
Please use Page 184 in your textbook to guide your invitations and
responses. EXAMPLE: ¿Te gustaría ir al circo con nosotros el sábado? Sí, me
gustaría mucho ir con ustedes. ¿A qué hora nos vamos?

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please be very cautious with your spelling as you write ten sentences
(including questions, if you like) using the verb QUERER, as outlined on Page
185 of your textbook. EXAMPLE: Amigos, ¿quieren ir conmigo al cine el
viernes? Mis hermanos no quieren hacer la tarea, pero es necesario. ¿Qué
quieres hacer esta tarde, a las cuatro?

4. jueves (para entregar en viernes)
Please study the stem-changing verbs in the E>IE category, such as QUERER,
and use the verbs PREFERIR (to prefer), EMPEZAR (to begin), COMENZAR (to
start), VENIR (to come)(*Yo vengo), and CERRAR (to close or shut) to write
ten good sentences – paying careful attention to spelling and accurate
conjugation – with all the aforementioned verbs. EXAMPLE: Tú vienes a mi
fiesta el viernes, ¿verdad? ¿Prefieres el azul o el verde? El profesor
nunca cierra la ventana. ¿Cuándo comienza el programa?

sheet, with a signature. Please also get your book contract signed and cover
your Spanish textbook. Thank you.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please write ten sentences in which you describe various members of your

Mi primito es travieso, muy activo, y chistoso.

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Because the verb GUSTAR can be challenging, we should practice the right way

1. lunes (para entregar el martes)
Please make believe you have a wonderful party in progress at your home.
Please write three (3) sentences in the form of commands, telling a friend or
a sibling what to do at the party, in order to help you make it a success.
Next, please write three (3) sentences which tell us what you and your pals
are doing at the party, at this moment (using the present progressive mode).
Then, please write two (2) sentences in the preterit tense, telling us what
you and others did last night, to get ready for the party. Last, please write
two (2) sentences with direct object pronouns (EXAMPLE: Pliquéstera está
aquí porque mi mamá la invitó.) regarding the party. This is a fine
opportunity to practice your grammatical structures.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please think about your exciting year as an eighth grader, keeping in mind
the fact that we’ll be wrapping it all up within approximately six weeks.
Please write a composition, consisting of a minimum of ten good sentences, in

to write accents as you use the preterit.

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please write ten good and logical sentences – or, if you prefer,
questions/answers – using the direct object pronouns we have learned to work
with in Chapter 10 of our fine textbook. We shall have a pleasant quiz
tomorrow on the direct object pronouns, so your homework will assist you in
preparing for it. EXAMPLE: ¿Viste hoy a la enfermera? Pues, sí, la vi esta
mañana. Mi mamá compró unas uvas muy ricas, y yo las comí anoche.

4. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Please work on your Chapter 10 project. If you are ready, perhaps you may
present the project in class on Friday. In speaking, please remember that
Spanish is not pronounced as English is pronounced….and there is an enormous
difference between the words “brinco” and “brincó” – so please be exceedingly
cautious as you speak the words you have learned during this eventful and
extremely important unit of study.

Quiz on Thursday. ¡Buena suerte!

Please make believe that a big party is being given in your home this
evening. Your friends have come to help you and your family to get things
ready for the wonderful party tonight. Using the yo, él/ella, nosotros, and
ellos forms of the present progressive mode, please write five sentences
telling us what is being done earlier in the day to prepare for the

party. EXAMPLE: Pascual y yo estamos colgando las decoraciones para la
fiesta. Mis amigos están bailando y charlando.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Tomorrow, we shall have a pleasant quiz on the Primer Paso of Chapter 10,
covering the present progressive mode and associated vocabulary from the
first section of the chapter. To prepare for this event, please write ten
good sentences in the progressive which tell us what you are doing to
celebrate ten different holidays or festivals. We realize that most 8th
graders are totally captivated by their own birthdays, but these are not
holidays or widespread celebrations, so please stay with what is found on the
sheets in your binder. EXAMPLE: Para el Día de las Madres, estoy comprando
rosas para mi mamá. Para el Día de Acción de Gracias, mis hermanitos están
comiendo pavo.

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)

¿Me pasas el jugo de guanábana? ¡Con todo gusto!

4. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Please use the imperative mode to write ten sentences in which you tell a pal
or a younger brother or sister to do something for you. Unlike the requests
we wrote yesterday, you are now telling someone to do something. Please use

Please look at the vocabulary sheet for Chapter 9 given to you in class, and
write ten sentences, each containing indirect object pronouns, which tell us
what you are going to give or buy for someone you know. EXAMPLE: Yo pienso
regalarle una pulsera dorada a mi tía. Voy a darle un collar a mi mejor

Please look at Exercise #6 on Page 237 of your textbook, and then write eight
similar questions of your own (.i.e. ¿Para quién es el anillo dorado?) with
eight appropriate responses (i.e. El anillo dorado es para mi abuelita.)

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please use the verb QUEDAR (and many prepositional phrases) to help you write
ten interesting sentences which tell us where ten places of business are

assist you with your work. EXAMPLE: La joyería queda en el camino Post, cerca
de la mueblería. La pescadería queda al lado de la farmacia CVS.

4. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Looking at Page 239 and the ASÍ SE DICE section in particular, please write
five polite questions, asking a stranger to tell you where to find five

1. martes (para presentar el miércoles)
Kindly be prepared to present your menu (which must contain not one single
word in English) and to perform your restaurant scene in class tomorrow. If a
member of your group is absent, you may be asked to perform with someone
else. It has been repeatedly requested that you improvise and experiment with
the language, rather than to write a script and memorize it. For this reason,
you should be able to do the restaurant scene with anyone in the class,
simply by listening to what they say and responding appropriately.

2. miércoles (para presentar el jueves)
Please be prepared to continue with any Chapter 8 projects which were not
completed yesterday. Please be certain to accurately use the vocabulary found
in this chapter of our textbook for ordering a meal and discussing it in a
restaurant.

3. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Please pretend that you are going to purchase a number of fine gifts for your
friends and family in celebration of their birthdays in 2009. Using the
vocabulary found on Page 237 of your fine textbook, and correctly using
indirect object pronouns (ME, TE, LE, NOS, LES), please write ten sentences
which tell us what you plan to buy for ten different individuals. EXAMPLE:
Pienso regalarle una corbata a mi tío. Yo voy a darles flores a mis padres
para su aniversario. Para tu cumpleaños, pienso comprarte una tarjeta muy
bonita.

Please be fully prepared to present the first half of the required poem in
class tomorrow. There can be no extensions and no exceptions. Please watch
your pronunciation carefully – and especially the “r,” which is never
pronounced in Spanish as we pronounce it in English.

*Those people wishing to memorize and present the entire poem before grades
for Quarter 2 close on Friday may do so!

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please bring evidence of Internet research regarding foods commonly enjoyed
in the Spanish-speaking country you have decided to use for the menu your
group is putting together. Use reliable search engines and enter your topics
in Spanish: i.e. “comida uruguaya” or “restaurantes bolivianos.”

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please bring in an outline of your restaurant presentation (not a script),
which shows what each individual in the group is going to do, what dishes you
will be ordering, and what the prices are likely to be. This need not be a
lengthy outline…just a “road map” which shows where you are going with your
restaurant scene.

4. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Please revisit the verb TRAER and the associated indirect object pronouns
which we studied last week. Knowing all you now know about this verb and its
correct usage, please write ten (10) sentences in which you tell us what you,
your family and friends bring to others and what they bring to you, or ask a
waiter to bring you various things during the course of a fine dinner.

1. lunes (para entregar el martes)
Please use what you have learning during our review of the important verbs
GUSTAR and ENCANTAR to write, correctly, ten sentences which tell us of ten
different foods found in Spanish-speaking countries which you, your family
members, and your friends like or love to eat. Please remember the pronouns
me, te, le, nos, and les which you must use with each sentence. Remember that
we say “My grandma likes rutabagas” in English, but we must say “Rutabagas
are pleasing to my grandma” when we express it in Spanish. Remember
that “gusta” and “encanta” are pluralized when the object we like or love is
plural. EXAMPLE: A mi familia y a mí nos gusta el helado. A mi mamá le
encantan las guanábanas. Please refer to Page 208 for assistance.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please study the larger numbers we are learning, featured on Page 219 of your
fine textbook. Using that page as your guide, please make up any ten large
numbers (over 200) which appeal to you. Write those numbers and then write
them out in words. For example: 7.311 ---- siete mil, trescientos once.
11. 486 ---- once mil, cuatrocientos ochenta y seis.
Please watch your spelling very, very carefully.

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please examine the two Así se dice boxes on Page 218 of the textbook. Having
done so, please write a brief restaurant scene, in the form of a play, in
which you appropriately use every phrase in those two boxes. EXAMPLE:
Camarero: Vuelvo en seguida.
Yo: Gracias.
Jacinto: Tengo mucha hambre. ¿Qué vas a pedir?
Yo: Voy a pedir el sancocho.
Camarero: ¿Qué les puedo traer?
Jacinto: ¿Me puede traer la ropa vieja, por favor?

4. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Please pay special attention to the verb TRAER. It is irregular in the first
person singular (Yo traigo) but is otherwise conjugated regularly. Me, te,
le, nos, les are object pronouns. “¿Me puede traer….? Means “Can you bring
me….?” ¿Qué les puedo traer? means “What may I bring you folks?” Please
write 10 good sentences using the verb TRAER. EXAMPLE: ¿Qué le puedo traer
esta noche, señor? ¿Me puede traer la corvina a la plancha, por favor?
Con todo gusto. ¿Qué más desea con su corvina? ¿Me trae el arroz blanco y
unos plátanos. por favor?

We have studied the uses of SER and ESTAR in speaking about food. Please
write a short scene in a restaurant, wherein two friends are talking about
the meal they are eating at that moment. You and your friend both use the
verb ESTAR to ask about and to describe the quality of food being consumed
right there and then. There should be ten questions/answers in all. EXAMPLE:
1. ¿Cómo están las zanahorias? Están ricas.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please use your ENCANTAR/GUSTAR sheet, found in your well-organized Spanish
binder, to write ten sentences which tell us about Latin American foods which
you and various members of your family like, love, or do not like at all. For
the latter, please use “no me/le/les/nos gusta para nada.” EXAMPLE: Al
profesor le encanta la corvina panameña. A mi mamá le gustan mucho las
carimañolas, pero a mí no me gustan para nada las empanadas.

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please prepare conscientiously for a fine quiz tomorrow (Thursday) on the

ciruelas. En Panamá, a mí me encantaría probar las carimañolas.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please practice the stem-changing verbs which switch O to UE, as studied in
Chapter 8, by writing ten sentences (Not all in the YO form, please!) which

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please use the fine resources in your Spanish binder, along with your
textbook (¡Ven conmigo!) to write a short scene – in the form of a play –
which occurs in a restaurant featuring Latin American food. You and a pal are
in the restaurant together. You ask your pal whether he or she is hungry and
thirsty. Your friend asks what you are going to order. You tell your friend
what you feel like eating and what you’d love to try. Please use all
vocabulary we’ve reviewed in class this week to write your scene in the
restaurant.

Yo: Aquí estamos, en mi restaurante favorito. ¿Tienes hambre?
Amigo: ¡Ay, sí! Tengo mucha hambre. También tengo sed. Voy a pedir
                 una naranjada.
Yo: Sí, yo también tengo sed. Quisiera tomar un batido de mora.

We know that an idiomatic expression is one which cannot be translated
literally from one language to another. In Spanish, we have many interesting
expressions which include the verb TENER. Carefully conjugating the verb as
necessary, please write ten sentences which use ten different expressions
with the verb TENER in a meaningful way. It is not sufficient to simply
write “Tengo sed.” Please write sentences which show that you understand the
meaning of each expression. EXAMPLE: Mi amiga tiene miedo, porque hay un
examen difícil hoy en la clase de matemáticas.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please use the expressions TENER GANAS (de) and TENER DESEOS (de) – which
have identical meanings – to tell us, in ten interesting sentences, what you,
your family members, and your pals feel like doing or do not feel like doing
at a given time. EXAMPLE: Mis padres no tienen ganas de ir a New Hampshire
para el Día de Acción de Gracias, pero a mí sí me gustaría ir. Yo tengo
deseos de salir con mis amigos este fin de semana.

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
You have a fine pen-pal who lives in another state. You have been
corresponding for a long time. This friend has invited you to come and spend
a week in his or her home, from December 26th through January 5th. You were
hoping to be able to go….but now, all of a sudden, there are a million
reasons why you cannot go. Your computer is broken, so you must write a
letter, explaining with great regret your reasons for being unable to accept
this wonderful invitation. At least ten (10) sentences must be written.
EXAMPLE: Querido/Querida……….Mil gracias por la invitación tan maravillosa.
Lo siento mucho, pero ya no puedo venir. ¡Qué lástima!.....

4. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Please give serious thought to your daily routine. When do you awaken? Do you
use an alarm clock? When do you arise? What do you do first? How long does it
take to do what you must do each day to get ready for school? Do you help
anyone in the morning? Please write a rough draft of your RUTINA DIARIA
(Daily Routine) in the morning and at night, being very cautious in your use
of reflexive verbs. Please DOUBLE-SPACE in order to facilitate corrections.

1. lunes (para entregar el martes)
Please look at the Asi se dice section on page 184 of your textbook. It deals
with inviting a friend to do something or to go somewhere with you. With this
in mind – and using the telephone vocabulary encountered in Chapter 7 –
please write a telephone dialogue, in the form of a play, between you and a
friend. Invite that pal to go somewhere or to do something with you. Please
do not even attempt this assignment without using the textbook and the
material in your Spanish binder. Please write a dialogue which consists of at
least twelve (12) lines, six for yourself and six for the person at the other
end of the phone.
EXAMPLE:
Sr. Jaramillo: Diga.
Yo: Buenas tardes, Sr. Jaramillo. ¿Cómo está usted?
Sr. Jaramillo: Bien, gracias. ¿De parte de quién?
Yo: Soy Memo. ¿Puedo hablar con Juliancito,
                         por favor?
Sr. Jaramillo: Claro. Un momentito.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please look at the list of places to go, listed on page 186 of your textbook.
Having done so, please call a pal to invite him or her to spend the day with
you. Your pal has stepped out, and you must leave a message on the answering
machine!! Ask whether your friend prefers one place or another, using the
stem-changing verb PREFERIR. Tell your friend what time you’d like to go.
Suggest that you have lunch (use the verb ALMORZAR) together first.
Please write a phone message consisting of at least ten sentences.

There are certain household chores we should do each day, to help the family
maintain a happy and orderly home. Please make believe that your family is
about to have a visit from your Aunt Mathilda, whom you haven’t seen in many
years. The house is a mess! Your room is a disaster area! Every member of
your family should do some chores to get the house ready for Aunt Mathilda,
who will be hungry when she arrives. Please write ten sentences, telling what
you and your family members should do (using the verb DEBER) to get ready for
Aunt Mathilda’s visit. EXAMPLE: Mis hermanas deben hacer las camas. Mi
hermano mayor debe cortar el césped. Yo debo poner la mesa y preparar una
ensalada sabrosa para mi tía.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please prepare diligently for a pleasant QUIZ tomorrow, covering the

1. lunes (para entregar el martes)
Please notice that family togetherness is the subject studied in the Así se
dice section of the Segundo Paso, found on Page 160 of your textbook. The
guiding question is ¿Qué hacen ustedes los fines de semana? With this in
mind, please write ten good sentences, telling us what you and your family
members do together on weekends. In the event you never do things with your
family on Saturdays and Sundays, please feel free to make up anything you
like. EXAMPLE: Mi familia y yo casi siempre visitamos a mis padrinos. Mis
hermanitos y yo pescamos con mi padrino.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please use the verb SALIR (Yo salgo, tú sales, usted sale, él/ella sale,
nosotros salimos, ustedes salen, ellos salen) to write ten interesting
sentences, telling us where and when you, your family members, and your pals
go on cheerful weekends. EXAMPLE: Muchas veces, yo salgo con mis amigos los
fines de semana. Mis cuates y yo salimos a jugar en el parque los sábados,
por la mañana. Mi abuelita sale a comer con sus amigas casi todos los
domingos, pero yo nunca voy con ellas.

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please pay close attention to the “Nota Gramatical” found on Page 161 of your
fine textbook. This deals with the “personal a,” and it is very important –
but it can be challenging for English-speaking students to comprehend. In
Spanish, we must say “Visito a mis tíos,” “Yo veo a Paulina,” “Tú siempre
ayudas a tú mama,” etc. Please very carefully write ten sentences using the
¨personal a.¨ EXAMPLE: Nosotros visitamos a mis abuelitos los fines de
semana. Yo conozco a la Dra. Boccanfuso. Mi mamá ayuda a mi hermanita con
su tarea.

4. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Please notice the Activity #25 on Page 162 of your textbook. How frequently
do you and your family engage in various activities? Please think about this
and write ten sentences which tell us how often you and your family do
certain things. EXAMPLE: Mi familia y yo casi nunca vamos de vacaciones.
Nosotros salimos a comer en un restaurante todos los viernes. Salgo con mis
cuates todo el tiempo. Cuando hay tiempo, mis hermanos y yo vamos a la
playa.

1. martes, el 27 de mayo, 2008 Día Darién a Darien
Today has been proclaimed by the First Selectwoman to be “Darién to Darien
Day” in our community. Let us celebrate the occasion by making believe we are
all in Darién, Panamá. We are hungry. There are few restaurants, but we all
go to the provincial capital of Las Palmas. We separate and go into various
different restaurants. Please write a restaurant scene in which you order
lunch, ask for all the things you need, talk about how the food tastes, ask
for the check, and ask whether the tip is included in the bill (as it is in
Panamá’s fancier restaurants). Use your textbook as your guide!!!

2. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please write five good sentences in which you include INDIRECT OBJECT
PRONOUNS and five good sentences in which you include DIRECT OBJECT PRONOUNS.
Please remember that indirect object pronouns indicate the receiver of the
action (Yo le regalé una guayabera panameña a mi abuelito), and direct object
pronouns refer to the object of the action (¿Dónde está Paquito? Lo vi esta
mañana. Me gustó esa camiseta de Darién a Darien, y la compré.)

3. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Please study diligently, using your study guide, for the departmental
assessment tomorrow, May 30th. Please review the textbook and be prepared to
display your learning tomorrow. Retire early, get a good night’s sleep,
consume a good breakfast, and do your very best work tomorrow.

newspaper of Panamá provides reports on current happenings, sports, and
weather, but also has an archive including everything from recipes to
accounts of celebrations in all the Panamanian provinces. Please write five
good sentences which reflect new learning, based on your readings. If there
are things you do not understand as you read, please make a note of them!

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please complete the interesting worksheet distributed in class today, paying
extremely careful attention to the construction of the indicated verbs.

4. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Please pay close attention as you complete the helpful worksheets handed out
in class today, cautiously taking note of any irregular verbs contained
therein. It is extremely important to accurately learn this new construction,
so please practice saying the words as you write them. Thank you.

1. lunes (para entregar el martes)
Please make believe that you have a pal whose many poor habits and bad
decisions are leading to trouble at school, at home, and in the neighborhood.
You, of course, wish to help your friend. Please write a letter to this
individual, giving lots of sensible advice. You must use negative commands.
Your letter should consist of a minimum of ten sentences. EXAMPLE: Querido
Raulito: No te acuestes tan tarde. No comas chocolates antes de acostarte.
No desobedezcas a tus papás.

TOMORROW, WE SHALL HAVE A SHORT QUIZ ON THE NEGATIVE COMMANDS.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please write ten commands using the formal (Usted) mode. Please use both
positive and negative commands, following the model used in class today.
Please make believe you are talking to an older person, inviting or
requesting that they do various things.

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please make believe a fine party is being given by your parents, in your
home. Your parents have gone out, as they just won the sweepstakes and must
collect the prize. The guests arrive. They are the parents of many of your
pals. A few of the people are friends of your parents whom you have never
met. You must be the temporary host or hostess. Please write ten good
sentences, using the formal imperative mode, graciously asking ten different
guests to come in and to be comfortable and to enjoy the party.

4. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Please practice your commands at home, and prepare for a SPEAKING QUIZ
tomorrow. You will be called upon to speak spontaneously, doing an
improvisation in which you will use both informal and formal commands – in
the positive and negative modes. There will be no written component, so your
best method of preparation will be to simply speak with your friends and
family – giving “advice” and using the imperative mode, in both positive and
negative forms.

Tomorrow, we shall have a fine quiz on the imperative mode (los mandatos).
You will be expected to know all eight irregular verb commands in the
positive “tú” form. You will likewise be expected to know how to form
informal commands with any regular Spanish verb. Further, you should know how
to use reflexive verbs in the imperative mode. We have been practicing these
forms in class each day for the past two weeks, and we look forward to an
extremely successful opportunity for everyone to display above-average
ability in using the imperative mode.

2. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
A party is about to be given, to celebrate our class’ promotion from 8th
grade to high school. You want to make certain the party is a huge success
and that everyone thoroughly enjoys it. Please write ten command/advice
sentences, directed at ten different classmates, to urge or direct them to
engage in certain activities designed to make the party more successful.
EXAMPLE: Raulito, baila con Pliquéstera y córtale un pedacito de la torta de
naranja. María Elena, come más tamales y diviértete.

3. jueves (para entregar el viernes)

1. lunes (para entregar el martes)
Please study the informal, positive commands – including the regular verbs,
reflexive verb forms, and the eight irregular commands – practicing them so
that you will be able to use them without hesitation during improvisations in
the classroom. There is no written homework due to be turned in tomorrow, but
please practice the commands so that you may employ them in class tomorrow.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please write a composition which consists of a minimum of ten sentences,
advising a friend or sibling about things which he or she must do to prepare
to celebrate Easter. Obviously, you are using the imperative mode. In
addition to the vocabulary found in Chapter 10 of your textbook, useful words
or phrases might include huevos (eggs), conejito (bunny), esconder (to hide),
pintar (to paint), brincar (to hop), las mejores galas (glad rags).
Azucena (lily), sombrero de Pascua (Easter bonnet), desfile (parade).
EXAMPLE: Limpia la casa, por favor, y empieza a preparar el jamón.

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please think about all the instructions, advice, requests, and commands
directed at you by parents, grandparents, and teachers each day. Many
different verbs are used, if we pause to think about it. Please supply as
long a list as you can of the things you are generally asked to do by parents
and teachers each day. EXAMPLE: Paquito, ¡Despiértate! María Elena,
¡Cepíllate los dientes! Pablito, ¡Ven a comer! Lupita, ¡Tráeme el
periódico! Raulito, ¡Pórtate bien! Juana, ¡Come tus legumbres! Pedrito,

1. lunes (para entregar el martes)
Please study the Así se dice box on Page 266 of your textbook. There are a
number of ways to casually ask a friend to assist you in Spanish, and there
exist several ways for your friend to respond. Please write ten original
requests for help, followed by ten short responses. EXAMPLE: ¿Me ayudas a
poner la mesa? Sí, cómo no. ¿Me prestas un lápiz, por favor? Claro que
sí.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
We are beginning to learn the Imperative mode, which is employed in virtually
all conversations in Spanish. Please write ten sentences, using the
imperative form, pleasantly telling a friend or a sibling or a classmate to
do something to help prepare for a party you are about to give. Your
reference for this structure may be found in the Nota Gramatical section on
Page 268 of your textbook. EXAMPLE: Compra el helado, ¿quieres? Llama a
los invitados, y entonces limpia la sala.

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please examine the eight (8) irregular informal commands and write ten
sentences in which you use each of the eight. You will repeat two of them.
The irregulars are Di, Ve, Sé, Pon, Ten, Ven, Haz, and Sal. EXAMPLE: ¡Ten
cuidado en el pasillo! ¡Dime la verdad! ¡Haz la tarea antes de mirar
televisión!

4. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Commands which are formed from reflexive verbs must always use the reflexive
pronoun. For example, the verb LAVARSE (to wash oneself) could be used to
form a command to a friend: Lávate las manos. Some of these commands are
relatively easy to form (i.e., Siéntate, Levántate), whereas others may be
challenging (¡Diviértete!). Please look at the reflexive verbs in the
vocabulary section of your notebook, and write ten original commands, using
the reflexives. Please remember to write an accent over the stressed vowel in
your command word. Without the accent, the word is incorrectly written. Since
you are writing commands to a friend, using the tú form, your reflexive
pronoun will always be TE. ¡Cálmate!

1. lunes (para entregar el martes)
Please consider the fact that we all dress differently for various occasions.
Some people feel more comfortable dressing up to attend a party, while others
prefer to wear very casual attire. Your Spanish teacher would never board an
airplane without a suit and tie, whereas most folks wear their oldest clothes
to travel. Please write ten sentences which compare what you wear to what a
pal or relative wears for a specific occasion. EXAMPLE: Para ir al colegio,
yo llevo una camiseta con pantalones de mezclilla, pero Juanito lleva una
sudadera con pantalones blancos de algodón.

2. martes (para entregar el miércoles)
Please make believe you are in a clothing store. On the counter are five or
six different shirts (or blouses). You cannot quite make up your mind as to
which one you wish to purchase. You want the salesperson to show you yet
another shirt. Using the Chapter 9 vocabulary (comparisons, demonstrative
adjectives, materials/colors), please write a ten-sentence composition in
which you speak to the salesperson and make your thoughts known. The clerk
need not respond. EXAMPLE: ¿Me puede mostrar una camisa amarilla, de algodón.
Uso la talla mediana. Me gusta esa camisa verde, pero no me queda muy bien….

3. miércoles (para entregar el jueves)
Please practice and prepare for your shopping scene, making certain that you
are able to use all the vocabulary and structures included in the rubric.
This includes demonstrative adjectives, indirect object pronouns, clothing
vocabulary, and the basic number/gender noun/adjective agreement over which
many young folks struggle. The best way to prepare is to speak at home…and
actually practice saying the words.

4. jueves (para entregar el viernes)
Please be ready to present your shopping scene in class tomorrow (viernes).
Please remember to use only the formal (Usted) form while you are in the
store, and keep in mind that Spanish-speaking people in most Hispanic
cultures are extremely courteous and respectful in their dealings with
others. You will be assessed on your ability to actually use the Spanish
language in an intelligible manner. Please practice by speaking the words,
aloud, at home. Thank you.

Below are some homework assignments from the past:

1. Tuesday Evening:

Please go to our Middlesex Middle School website (where you are now) and to
your Spanish teacher's webpage (where you are now) and then to "Links." There
are two games for your amusement and edification. Please play both games this
evening, and print out only the page which indicates your score. Both games
deal with the reflexive verbs and other structures being studied in Chapter 7
of our textbook.

2. Wednesday Evening:

Please work on your telephone conversation project. In order to practice for
this fun event, please write a brief telephone dialogue between two pals. One
invites the other to go somewhere. The offer is graciously accepted.

EXAMPLE:

Toñito: Diga.

Dieguito: Oye, Toñito, ¿eres tú? Soy Dieguito.

Toñito: Hola. ¿Qué hay?

Dieguito: ¿Tienes ganas de ir al circo con mi familia? Es el sábado a las
tres. Hay muchos payasos. ¿Te gustaría ir?

Toñito: ¡Claro que sí! Tengo que hablar con mi mamá, para pedir permiso.

Dieguito: ¿Tienes miedo de los leones= Son muy feroces.

Toñito: Ay, sí. Tú tienes razón.......

3. Thursday Evening:

Please prepare to present your telephone conversation tomorrow (Friday) in
class. Relax and enjoy displaying all the Spanish you have learned during
this unit.

Below are homework assignments from past weeks.

**PLEASE NOTE: Homework assignments must not be done "in advance" this week.
               Thank you.

1. Monday Evening:

Awk! A pal is spending the weekend with you, but this individual does
everything just the opposite of the way you do things. For instance, you
awaken at 8:00, but your pal awakens at Noon. Your brush your teeth before
eating, but your pal does the tooth-brushing after dining. It is a most
unusual weekend of contrasts. Please write a composition, consisting of a
minimum of ten sentences, explaining your pal's routine as compared to yours.
EXAMPLE: Yo me despierto a las seis y media, pero Paquito se despierta a las
nueve. Yo me ducho por la mañana, pero Paquito se baña por la noche.

2. Wednesday evening:

It is early in the morning on a school day. You{re trying to get ready for
school, and a very impatient parent is calling to you, asking "¿Estás
listo?/Estás lista?" You must continually respond, "Todavía no," and then
tell what you still have to do before you leave for school. You are growing
increasingly nervous. Please write eight (8) sets of parental prompts,
followed by your responses -- using reflexive verbs.
EXAMPLE:

Mamá: ¿Estás listo?
Yo: Todavía no, Mamá. Tengo que lavarme la cara.
Mamá: ¿Estás listo?
Yo: Todavía no. Tengo que secarme el pelo.

3. Thursday Evening:

Please prepare for a fine quiz tomorrow on the reflexive verbs.

*****************************************************************

Below are past homework assignments:

Please examine your resources handed out in class today and writen ten
original, carefully-worded sentences, telling us what you, your family
members, and your pals do every morning (todas las mañanas) before coming to
school. EXAMPLE: Todas las mañanas, yo me lavo las manos. Hi hermanita se
lava la cara todos los días, antes de ir al colegio.

2. Tuesday Evening:

Please consider the use of the reflexive verb in the infinitive, following
such expressions as TENER QUE, NECESITAR, IR + A, etc. (All outlined in your
textbook on Page 190). Please write ten interesting, original sentences in
which you use the reflexives in the infinitive (with the appropriate
reflexive pronouns attached to the end of the verb). EXAMPLE: Tengo que
lavarme las manos antes de comer. Mis cuates van a ducharse después de jugar
al béisbol.

3. Wednesday evening:

Please study and prepare diligently for a quiz tomorrow on the first two
sections of Chapter 7. On the quiz, you will have an opportunity to
illustrate your understanding of stem-changers, IR + A, PENSAR + infinitivo,
speaking by telephone, inviting a friend to go somewhere, politely turning
down an invitation, and just a little bit of the reflexives. Buena suerte.

4. Thursday Evening:

Please write a pleasant composition, consisting of at least ten sebntences,
in which you tell us what you do each evening before you retire for the
night. Please begin at the point where you return home. EXAMPLE: Todas las
tardes, me quito la chaqueta y me quito el gorro. Me ducho antes de
acostarme. Todas las noches, me baño y me seco con una toalla bien grande.

Below are past homework assignments tackled earlier in the school term.

_______________________________________________________________________

1. Monday Evening:

Please examine the idiomatic expressions with the verb TENER (Tener que +
infinitivo, Tener sueño, Tener hambre, Tener ganas de/Tener deseos de, etc.)
and write ten (10) well-constructed sentences which use these expressions in
a meaningful context. EXAMPLE: Voy a comer, porque tengo mucha hambre.

2. Tuesday Evening:

Please consider the busy lives we all lead and the many things we absolutely
must do each day. Please write a composition which consists of at least ten
sentences, telling us what you, your family members, and your pals HAVE TO DO
each day. Remember that no one "has to" watch TV or play checkers. We do have
to work, to eat, to sleep, to pay bills, etc. EXAMPLE: Mi mamá tiene que
cuidar a mis hermanitos. Mi hermana tiene que dar de comer al perro y tiene
que pasar la aspiradora.

3. Wednesday Evening:

Please make believe that you have been invited to a wonderful party, but you
cannot attend. Please write a letter to your friend, consisting of a minimum
of ten sentences, explaining why you cannot attend the party. Please base
your letters on the "Así se dice" section on Page 193 of your text, using the
expressions provided there (¡Qué lástima! Lo siento. Ya tengo planes. Tengo
que... Me gustaría, pero no puedo, etc.) EXANMPLE:

Querida Hortensia,

Gracias por tu invitación, pero no puedo ir a la fiesta el domingo...

4. Thursday Evening:

Plans! Plans! Everyone has weekend plans! You certainly have your weekend
completely planned. There are things you want to do. There are things you'd
like to do. There are things you have to do. There are things you are
definitely going to do. Using TENER QUE, IR + A + INFINITIVO, QUIERO, and ME
GUSTARÍA, please write a ten sentence composition, telling us about your
weekend plans and incorporating all the above! EXAMPLE: Este fin de semana,
tengo que ir con mi familia a visitar a mi tía Matilda. Quiero montar en
bicicleta con mis primos. Por la tarde, me gustaría.....

Below are homework assignments from the past:

1. Monday Evening:

IR (to go) and A (to) plus an infinitive may be used to express actions to be
taken in the implied future. To say, for instance, "I'm going to play marbles
this afternoon," we would used IR + A + infinitive: Voy a jugar a las
canicas esta tarde. Please write ten good, well-worded sentences which tell
us what you, your family members, and your pals are going to do this week.
Please do not tell us where you are going to go. EXAMPLE: Mi mamá va a
cocinar arroz con pollo esta noche. Mis hermanitos van a brincar en el
trampolín este fin de semana.

                                  IR

Yo voy Nosotros/Nostras vamos
Tú vas/Vos vas Vosotros/Vosotras vais
Usted va Ustedes van
Él/Ella va Ellos/Ellas van

(Inasmuch as the 8th grade is spending Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in
Massachusetts, we shall dispense with homework assignments for the remainder
of the week.)

Below are homework assignments from previous weeks.

October 9--12, 2007

1. Tuesday Evening:

Please study the Chapter 7 vocabulary pertaining to telephone conversations.
Some of this material is outlined on Page 183 of your textbook, and
supplemental vocabulary may be found on a sheet in your binder. Please write
a dialogue (10 sentence minimum), in the form of a play or short dramatic
scene, in which you make a telephone call to a friend. Your friend is not at
home, and thus you must leave a message. EXAMPLE:

[suena el teléfono]

Señora: Diga.
Yo: ¿Señora Acosta? Buenas tardes. Soy Ramoncito.
Señora: Hola, Ramoncito. ¿Cómo está tu mamá?
Yo: Bien, gracias. ¿Podría hablar con Pedrito, por favor?

2. Wednesday Evening:

Please write a telephone conversation in which you ask a pal to do something
or to go somewhere with you. The conversation should be written in the form
of a play. Please use the vocabulary on Page 186 to invite a pal to go to a
place of mutual interest. Please incorporate such useful phrases/questions
as: ¿A qué hora?, ¿Dónde nos encontramos?. ¿Qué dobo ponerme?. ¿Quiénes
vienen?, and other phrases from your "telephone call" vocabulary sheet." You
should have a minimum of ten sentences in your dialogue.

3. Thursday Evening:

Please write ten (10) interesting sentences, using as their principal verb
one of the E>IE verbs provided on a sheet in your Spanish binder. Please take
great care in formulating these sentences. Many Spanish verbs are conjugated
with the stem vowel (E, in this case) changing to two vowels (IE, in this
case). Please be careful with them. EXAMPLE: Mi amiga quiere tomar jugo de
piña, pero yo prefiero el jugo de granada. La fiesta empieza a las seis y
media. ¿Viene tu tía a cenar con nosotros? Los chamaquitos de esta clase no
mienten.

{Below, you will find homework assignments from past weeks}

1. Monday Evening:

Please examine the paper distributed in class today, explaining the major
project to be undertaken this week. Using this paper, plus the rubric, and
also the Chapter 6 resources in your Spanish binder - and your fine textbook -
kindly prepare a document to turn in tomorrow, indicated which of the two
projects you are doing, with whom you are working (if you select a partner),
and what your timetable is for completing this project.

2. Tuesday Evening:

Please bring in any rough drafts you wish to have checked for significant
errors.

3. Wednesday Evening:

Please continue to work on your Chapter 6 Project.

4. Thursday Evening:

Please be prepared to present your Chapter 6 project in class tomorrow.
Gracias.
1. Monday Evening:

Please examine the verb SALIR, as illustrated nicely on Pages 160-161 of our
textbook. Having done so, please write ten sentences which clearly answer the
following questions: 1) ¿Sales los fines de semana? 2) ¿Con quién sales los
sábados? 3) ¿Adónde vas cuando sales con tus padres? 4) ¿Qué haces cuando
sales con tus amigos/amigas? 5) ¿Qué hacen tus abuelitos cuando salen? 6)
¿Con quién te gusta salir los domingos? 7) ¿Sales los viernes? 8) ¿A qué
hora sales los sábados? 9) ¿Qué haces cuando sales con tus padres? 10)
¿Salen tus amigos/amigas los fines de semana?

2. Tuesday:

PLease bring in the signed paper, indicating that you have delivered the
grading rationale/course description to your parents.

Please write five sentences based on $24 on Page 161 of your fine textbook,
telling us where you want to go on vacation--to visit relatives--and what you
want to do there.

3. Wednesday:

Please examine the drawings on Page 165 of your textbook. In many families,
individuals have chores or tasks for which they are responsible. Please write
a ten-sentence paragraph which tells us about the chores you and your
siblings or other family members do to help your family function efficiently.
EXAMPLE: Yo corto el césped en el verano. Mi hermana mayor trabaja en el
jardín. Yo cuido a mi hermanito. Yo tambvién hago la cama antes de salir
para el colegio.

4. Thursday:

Please use the verb PONER, as described on Page 165 of your textbook, to
write ten good sentences, telling us where you put your things, and where
your parents and siblings put various items. EXAMPLE: Yo pongo mis libros en
mi escritorio. Mi mamá pone flores en la mesa. Mis hermanitos ponen sus
juguetes en la habitación que comparten.

Below are past homework assignments. Have a pleasant weekend.

Do you have a sister or brother? If so, please write at least ten good
sentences which use various forms of "nuestro" (nuestra/nuestros/nuestras) to
describe members of your family shared by you and your sibling(s). EXAMPLE:
Mis hermanos y yo vivimos con nuestros padres queridos, y visitamos a
nuestros abuelitos de vez en cuando. Nuestros primos son muy traviesos.
If you do not have a brother or sister, please write ten good sentences -
using the nuestro forms - which tell about what you and your
friends/classmates share. EXAMPLE: Nuestros vecinos son muy amables. Nuestra
bandera es muy bonita. Nuestros profesores nos dan mucha tarea.

2. Tuesday:

None of our wonderful students should ever again use the apostrophe "s" ('s)
to form a possessive. We all know that Johnny's dog is "el perro de
Juanito." Please write a ten-sentence composition about a classmate's
padrinos, remembering to pluralize adjectives when it is appropriate to do
so. EXAMPLE: Los padrinos de Juliancito son muy cariñosos y atentos. Viven
en una finca lejos de aquí, con sus cuatro hijos y dos caballos hermosos. Los
hijos de mis padrinos son muy amables.....

3. Wednesday:

Please prepare yourselves for a quiz on the first section (Primer paso) of
Chapter 6. You will be expected to know the names of family members (primo,
tía, madrastra, media hermana, etc.) and also the possessive adjectives (su,
sus, nuestro/nuestra/nuestros/nuestras). You should know how to form
sentences with both singular and plural subjects (Mis primos son bondadosos e
inteligentes). This fine quiz will be on Thursday (tomorrow). Buena suerte.

4. Thursday:

When the object of an action in any sentence is a person, we must use
the "personal a" before identifying that person. For example, "I visit my
grandma" would be "Yo visito a mi abuelita." "I see Mary" would be "Yo veo a
María." "I help my pals" is "Yo ayudo a mis cuates." Any sentence which
tells what we do to, for, or with respect to another PERSON must use "the
personal a." Please write ten sentences using "the personal a." EXAMPLE: Yo
visito a mis primos cada verano. Yo conozco a Elena. Mis hermanitos y yo
llamamos a mis abuelitos todos los domingos.

Below is homework from last week-------

1. Monday Evening:

Please think about one of your pals - or, if you prefer, you may bring to
life an imaginary pal. What does this person look like? What does he or she
do every day? How many people are there in your friend's family? Who are
they? What are they like? Does your friend have a pet? Please use as much
family-related vocabulary from Chapter 6 as possible, along with the
appropriate possessive adjectives (su, sus, etc.) to write a composition
consisting of at least ten (10) sentences, telling us everything you can
about your pal and your pal's family. Please don't forget the padrinos.
EXAMPLE: Cornelio es uno de mis cuates. Tiene trece años, es bajo y delgado,
y tiene los ojos verdes. Su casa es muy bonita, y está cerca del colegio. Su
mamá es una señora muy bondadosa, y sus abuelitos preparan arroz con pollo,
etc.

2. Tuesday Evening:

Please think about two people together: parents, godparents, grandparents,
siblings, aunt & uncle, etc. - and then write a ten-sentence composition
which describes these two people as a team, using plural nouns, adjectives,
and verb forms. Please use as much Chapter 6 family-related vocabulary and as
many possessive adjectives as possible. EXAMPLE: Mis padrinos viven en
Norwalk con sus hijos y su perro, en una casa bien linda. Son activos,
cariñosos, y afectuosos. Ellos me ayudan mucho. Leen todo el tiempo, y hay
muchísimos libros en su casa.

3. Wednesday: No HW

4. Thursday: Please study Chapter 6 family vocabulary and possessive
adjectives.

Last Week:
1. Tuesday Evening:

Please take note of the possessive adjectives described in the blue box on
Page 154 of your textbook. Remember that these words, as is the case with all
adjectives, must agree in number and gender with the nouns they modify.
Hence, we say "nuestro abuelito," "nuestra casa," "nuestros parientes,"
and "nuestras habitaciones." Please write ten sentences, using a mixture of
possessive adjectives (su/sus, nuestro/nuestra, nuestros/nuestras, tu/tus,
mi/mis) to discuss family members and relationships. EXAMPLE: Nuestra
familia es grande, pero tu familia es muy pequeña. Mis hermanitos y yo vamos
a visitar a nuestros tíos.

2. Wednesday Evening:

Please think about your family. In Latin American cultures, the
term "familia" also encompasses extended family (grandparents, aunts and
uncles, cousins, godparents, etc.), so you may include these individuals in
your writings, if you like. Using appropriate descriptive adjectives, in
combination with possessive adjectives (nuestro/nuestra, su/sus, etc.),
please write a ten-sentence paragraph which describes your family as
accurately as possible. EXAMPLE: Somos once en mi familia. Casi todos somos
bajos, y tenemos los ojos azules. Mi papá es cabal, cortés y sincero.

3. Thursday Evening:

Please give some thought to what you and your family members do together, and
what each of you does to contribute to the well-being of the family in
general. You may wish to study the Información Personal section featured on
Page 156 of your textbook. Your guiding question should be "¿Qué haces con tu
familia? ¿Con qué frecuencia?" Please write a ten'sentence composition
describing what you do with your family, and what each member does
individually. EXAMPLE: Mis hermanos y yo pescamos casi todos los sábados.
Visitamos a los parientes los domingos. Mi mamá y papá cenan con sus amigos
de vez en cuando.
