Mrs. Trezza has been with the Darien Public School system for many years.
She began teaching in Darien at the high school. She has been
teaching at Middlesex Middle School since September 1990.
Mrs. Trezza's experience with Darien over the past years has given her an
understanding of the community and an appreciation of its residents.
Sixth graders come into the middle school with previous experience using the
computer. The best way to describe it would be a "Hit or Miss" technique.
If it doesn't work, just do it again. It is important for the
students to learn the importance of doing a task correctly the first time.
When there is a problem,it should be solved not just ignored. In this way,
students will be able to experience greater success whenever they use the
computer in the future. It is my hope that this type of training will give
them the confidence to become effective trouble shooters. Such training will
provide them with the skills necessary to be viable citizens of the 21st
Century.
