Dear Big Fish and Families,
We are rounding the bend of a great year in 5th grade. I am becoming truly sad to see these kids go! Even though the end is near, one can just imagine all of the things left to do! In a nutshell, we will have our Poetry Book Share, 5th Grade Album Celebration, History Project and of course, Gradution 2012. With the help of a few students in the class a Calendar of Events has been drafted and will be distributed in the Tuesday's mail. (5/22/12).
You will notice that there will be a weeks worth of Challenges. These challenges are class wide and will test our students' ability in the areas of spelling, geography, history, and math. There will be prizes awarded at the Album Celebration for the winners of those daily challenge activities. Students are encouraged to prepare by playing on-line geography and math games available through the school website links. Also, they can study for the Spelling Bee or Presidents challenge by looking at any old lists that appear right in their reading journals and in the back portion of their Social Studies books, respectively.
Lastly, and most importantly, THANK YOU SO MUCH for all of the Teacher Appreciation gifts and cards. The were all lovely!
I hope that you find this announcement page helpful and if you have any further questions and concerns please feel free to contact me at the following email: dmontufar-liner@ci.stamford.ct.us.
Health and Happiness,
Mrs. Liner
