Happy May! It is very hard to believe the end of the school year is almost upon us! Mr. Mende has officially taken over my class for the next 2 weeks. I wish him well in his quest to become a teacher. Some special events are coming up this month! We will be going on our trip to the New Canaan Historical Society this Thursday to experience Colonial living. Parent drivers need to be at school by 9. We also go the Stamford Museum and Nature Center for the Science of Soil-our last science unit. The 5th grade performance of The Wizard of Oz is next week! The plant sale is next week as well. We will also be planning something special for winning Battle of the Books! Yay! Please send in tissues, wipes, snacks for the class, and paper towels, if you can, thank-you!
