About The Teacher
Welcome to my webpage. Hopefully this site will help you to experience success at Norwalk High. In my 20th year of teaching in Norwalk and my 11th at Norwalk H.S. I teach Freshman World History as well as U.S. History. My intent is to help you prepare to succeed in a highly competitive world. The completion of highschool should be viewed as both an end and a beginning. Our modern society demands that you become a lifelong learner. Learning how to learn should be a goal for all students. Each completed class is an achievement and a step towards graduation. The real question becomes, "am I prepared to move on beyond highschool?" Whether you go to college, trade school, the armed services or persue some other post secondary goal, will you have the knowledge and skills to achieve your goals? Getting in to college is a goal many of you likely have, my goal is for you to be prepared and to be successful when you leave here. When not teaching I enjoy spending time with my wife and three daughters. Experience has taught me that life is hard. Our challenge is to prepare as best we can in hopes of meeting lifes challenges with the skills, patience, and attitude necassary to overcome obstacles. Opportunities abound for each student as they enter high school. Use your time here to explore, experiment, and engage in new activites. I have few regrets in life but those I have are of opportunities wasted and things I did not do. Try something new; audition for a play, join a club, meet new friends. If things do not work out that is okay for you will have learned something about yourself. The next four years will go by quickly, live them so that you can look back with no regrets.
