My grading format for all classes in simple. All each student needs to do is to keep a tally of
the total points earned versus the total possible points. The point values assigned to each
piece are reflective of department expectations, and the categories are as follows: homework,
quizzes, tests, projects, and papers/writing. In time, I will provide each student and parent
with a password to access my online grading program so that he or she can have up-to-date info
regarding his or her academic standing.  Your grades will be available twenty-four hours a day; therefore, there exists no excuse for not knowing your status.

      With the amount of writing we will complete, you need to exhibit patience when waiting for returned essays and long written tests.  I will work as hard as possible to make this return efficient and valuable, but understand that assessing writing takes time.  If I rush through it, I do you a true disservice, which is not acceptable to me.
