My goal is to promote scientific inquiry and literacy within the realm of
Biology. Scientific inquiry is a process whereby the learner searches out,
describes, questions and analyzes data. It includes sharing of findings and
ideas. Scientific literacy can be described as the ability to read, write,
discuss and present coherent ideas about science. It includes the ability
to search for and discuss the relevance of scientific information.
The process of learning has expanded from simple recall of facts or
definitions to being able to find connections among facts to build
conceptual understanding. To accomplish this lessons will be intellectually
engaging explorations that encourage you to confront and refine your own
ideas about scieence.
