| Students who qualify will be taking part in a weekly problem-solving activity sponsored by Drexel
University's Mathforum.
This is an independent math project and students will work individually and in
small groups to arrive at their answers. They will have to write about their mathematical thinking and
problem solving, research some of the concepts on their own, and work independently.
Self-motivation is an important part of this challenge. Students will be expected to explore why their
anwers may not be right and to resubmit new answers to the site.
Problems are posted on Mondays and answers should be submitted by the end of the week.
Mathforum responds to students' submissions via email to me.
Students who are participating will bring home a flyer with more details. Parents can check out the
website at http://www.mathforum.org/
