Sight Words

Sight words are high frequency words. That simply means they are words that we read
and use often. Some sight words are difficult to chunk out therefore it is best to
memorize them.
The following are words all first graders must learn to read and write. Writing them on
index cards can be helpful when studying them.

It is beneficial to practice a couple of words each night so your student can learn them
slowly without pressure or stress.
