The following is information about Room A8's Behavior Management:
You will see that I like to focus on good choices however, I do need a system for when
children forget to follow the rules.
Room A8 has just 3 rules:
1. Follow Directions
2. Make Good Choices
3. Be Respectful
The Pillar's of Character: Each and every child can earn "Gotcha" tickets by making
exceptional choices and being a good role model. This is meant to be a random
reward therefore tickets won't be given to every good choice. Every Friday we will pull
2 or 3 names from the jar and those children can pick a reward from our chest. We are
going through the prizes very quickly. If any family has extra party favors or treats they
would like to donate, it would be greatly appreciated.
1-2-3:
If a child is not making good choices or following directions or respecting others, they
will get a #1 card on their desk as a warning. If the behavior continues, they will get a
#2 which means they need to remove themselves from where they are working.
If they continue with the inappropriate behavior, they will get a #3 which means a note
home to parents and a note to Mr. Madancy.
Marbles for Movies:
We are working on earning marbles as a whole class, almost like a team. After we get
100 marbles, we will get a short movie with a snack.
