| With all there is to absorb in the first grade, the following are a few
reminders. . . . .
1. Our recess is outdoors, weather permitting. Please dress the children
appropriately. We do go outside until the winter is upon us.
2. There will be Homework every night (Mon. - Thurs.). Please make it a habit
of checking your child's Take-Home folder every night. Always put
completed homework back in the folder and the folder in the back pack.
3. Provide a special quiet place to do homework. This is helping to develop a
positive environment for learning.
4. Be mindful of "dates due" for trip forms and orders for Scholastic Book
Club.
5. READ every night, including weekends.

6. Relax! Enjoy your child's journey in learning as he/she travels through
first grade.
