TEACHER QUICK FACTS
What is the Publishing Center?
The
OHS Publishing Center is a PTA sponsored resource for all teachers and their
students. The publishing center is staffed by parent volunteers.
Students
written works are typed and bound into bound books. Each student is presented
with a copy of the book and a matching bookmark. Additionally, a copy of the
book is provided to the OHS Media Center where it is shelved in the section
dedicated to all students' published books, both past and present.
What is the Teacher's Role?

We'll create
bound blank books for your class. Make a special gift for a family
member.
Over
the past couple of years, we have begun to utilize scanning and new software
technology
! This has allowed us to develop new and varied formats for the students'
books. Many of these new ideas were developed through the collaboration of
teachers and Publishing Center volunteers.
We
would be happy to hear your ideas! Just
drop a note in the Publishing Center Mailbox!
