Friday, May 16th

Dear Parent(s),

We have finished the alphabet! We worked on the letter Z, colored z pictures and practiced writing Z and z.

We have begun working on our ocean unit. We read the big book Life in the Sea, painted sea creatures for our bulletin board, and wrote a story about a trip into the ocean. We played a game where the students had to give clues to describe a sea creature. Then, one student guessed what creature it was. They did a great job!

Next week, we will continue our ocean unit. We will read Sharks, Whales and Dolphins, The Bravest Fish, The Lady Who Swallowed a Shell, and A House for Hermit Crab. Also, we will graph sea creatures and write about our favorite sea creature.

Our field trip to the zoo is on Thursday, May 22nd.

On Thursday and Friday we will have a book fair at school.

Homework this week is to complete one of the z activities and read their book.
