Read the homework book and do one of the Z activities

Also, I have included extra homework that your child can do on a daily basis.

1. You can draw a picture and write about your favorite part of a book that you have read at home.

2. You can keep a journal and bring it to school on Fridays to share.

Homework

Every Friday your child will get a book to read during the following week. Please read the enclosed book with your child. Have your child read to you.

a. Look at the cover.

b. Point to the title.

c. Do a picture walk. (Talk about what is happening on each page. Ask your child, "What do you see?")

d. Point to each word and read it.

e. Ask your child to locate a word on the page.

f. Ask your child to locate the beginning letter and sound of a word.

****** Please keep the homework bag in a safe place. The bag with the books must be returned on Friday.

This week we will be starting our letter homework. Each week your child will get a worksheet with various activities to do using the letter that was focused on that week. This homework also will be due on Friday.
