Do we have snack on delayed opening days?
No, we do not. Please be sure that your child eats breakfast before
school. On an already shortened day, we need to make the most of our
instructional time!
--------------------------------------
How much should I help my child with homework?
Do offer help and reinforcement of the skill. Please do not do the work
for your child, and let me know if your child is struggling on the
assignment.

Can we bring in food for parties, birthdays, and other special occasions?
No, we do not have food at parties, etc., in Grades K-5. We do celebrate
special occasions and birthdays with crafts, music, and games. We welcome all
suggestions!

How can we celebrate my child's birthday in school?
In prior years, children have celebrated their birthdays in various ways in
the classroom, and the children have loved everything. Some children have
brought in 'goodie bags' with pencils, erasers, stickers, plastic straws, etc.
Parents have also celebrated birthdays by reading a book to the children and
then donating it to our classroom library. The children were thrilled!
Please let me know if you will be celebrating your child's birthday in school.

Can parents/guardians go on class trips?
Yes! We love to have parents and guardians join us. Please let me know if
you are interested.

Can parents, grandparents, guardians, etc. volunteer in the classroom?
Yes! We love to have guest readers. We also appreciate help with typing our
stories. Please let me know if you are interested.
