| Green, Yellow, Red is the traffic light system I use in my classroom to help
the children be more aware of their personal behavior & responsibilities as
well as school & classroom rules. They choose the behavior therefore they
choose what light they are on each day.
Each day the children start off on green. If they make a poor choice they
will move to yellow. They are able to earn their way back to green if they
have been exceptional. If they are on yellow and they continue to make poor
choices they will go to red and I will call home or send a note. If the
behavior is totally inappropriate like hitting someone they will go directly
to red.
