Message from the Principal

Welcome to our website! This site contains upcoming events, parent newsletters, classroom websites, and school procedures. Sign up to receive NewsFlash emails today. It's a great way to receive up to date information about our school!
There will be several changes for the 2011-2012 school year:
~We will be moving to a Trimester year. This means there will be three marking periods instead of four. The first report card will be distributed on December 16, the second on March 23, and the third on the last day of school.
~We will have two Parent/Teacher Conference sessions this year. The first session will be October 19-21, and the second will be April 3-5.
~We have extended the school day by 15 minutes. School hours are now 8:20-3:05.

Before/After School Care

Dear Families of the Pumpkin Delight and Kennedy School Communities

The Milford Public Schools is changing the designated before and after care provider for Pumpkin Delight and Kennedy Schools. The new provider will be an independent Before/After School Child Care Program, operated by Mrs. Patty Sabin. Mrs. Sabin has been the director of the Child Care Program conducted at Simon Lake School for 11 years and this newly expanded offering will be modeled after that program.

Her program has earned very high reviews from parents for its staff and its affordability. If you are interested in using this program please either contact Ms. Sabin at psabin@milforded.org or at 203-783-3666. Anyone who previously submitted an application to the YMCA will need to contact Ms. Sabin.

Thank you,

Mike Cummings

Connect-ED Message System

Throughout the Milford School District, the superintendent as well as building administrators have the ability to utilize a telephone messaging system to share emergency/important messages with parents and staff. The Connect-ED system can deliver the same personalized message to many recipients, and is an easy way to get important information via the telephone. The system also has a helpful feature: the Play it Again number. If you didn't hear the entire message the first time, you can call 1-877-737-5291. The message will re-play in its entirety for you!
