text and your Character Analysis Notes.

1.Study notes on devices, definitions, and examples from notes and Freak the
Mighty "Hunts".  TEST: Thursday 10/29

Thur. 10/22
RRJ: Write your own literary device sample sentences,one for each device
defined in your notes. Set up: Write the name of the device in the margin
before the red line, then the sample sentence, and underline the specific
words used to exemplify each device.

Wed. 10/21

challenge or disability.  Tell how he or she was or is like Freak.  Use the
rubric, traffic light organizer, and Handy List of Transitional Language as
resources.

   * Reread the page "Close Encounter..." handout from Freak the Mighty
   * Write a response to:  Think about a time in your life like the incident

strategies that work for you. 
 (Some examples: Index flash cards, White Board Practice, Bingo,
Concentration, Closure , Oral Review)

2.  Complete the Compare/Contrast Organizer for Freak and Max.
Your take home copy of FTM is a good resource!
