I hope you have enjoyed a relaxing and wonderful summer. A few important
items as we begin the year:
During school, your child will be writing about their summer
vacation for our classroom bulletin board. They will be given the option of
drawing a picture of what they did during the summer or they can send in one
or two photographs. If your child would like to send in one or two photos,
please send it in by Friday, August 28th. When we are done, the photo(s)
will be returned.
Thank you for sending in a roll of paper towels, tissues and wipes
with your student. Throughout the year I will be sending home requests for
more items, as it is needed. If for some reason your son or daughter is
frequently in need of a tissue, please send in a separate packet of tissues
for your child to keep at his or her desk.
By the end of next week, the students should have all their books
covered. When covering books, please do not use self-stick covers except on
workbooks. Cloth book covers or heavy paper covers, such as a brown grocery
bag, work well for hard cover books.
Please send in an art smock with your student by Friday, September
4th, as Mrs. Beckwith, the art teacher, would like something to protect the
students’ uniforms- any old shirt that you don’t mind getting stained will
do, preferably big enough to cover most of the uniform.
Finally, please remember the classroom is NUT free as we have tree
nut and peanut allergies in the class. Please check ingredients before
sending any food into the classroom.
