| Religion in the fourth quarter is filled with many exciting events.
The 8th grade will be confirmed on April 5th, something that we as a class
have been preparing for the last few months.
We also will begin a video of which the 8th grade class will produce and copy
to a DVD. This DVD theme will be on Preparation for High School, continueing
their Faith Journey.
There is one more mandatory Youth Group attendance scheduled for May 4th from
6-8:30. Now that they have been confirmed they can attend Senior Youth Group
on a weekly basis.
We have a retreat planned for May 21st at Tarrywile Mansion in Danbury. Our
senior youth group is involved in the planning and implementation of this
retreat.
There is a book that they will be reading titled, "Blessed are the Bored in
Spirit" by Mike Hart. He has an interesting view on how to keep our Catholic
faith alive through the teenager years.
There are also journal writings and discussions, music and scripture.
I try to make religion an experience with your faith, we do, of course, the
curriculum of Church History and we attempt to make religion come
alive.
What you have to do is keep an open mind and come to each class ready to
learn and discuss your relationship with Jesus Christ.
