Week of May 19-23, 2008
REMINDER THIS WEEK IS OUR HARTFORD TRIP. PLEASE PACK A BAG LUNCH (NO GLASS)
WE WILL RETURN AFTER BUSSES AT APRROXIMATELY 3:15.
Religion: We will be reviewing everything we learned in Unit 3 this week.
Reading: We will be back in our reading anthology. This week's story is
called "I Have Heard of a Land". We will focus on finding word
relationships such as homophones, synonyms, and antonyms.
Writing: We will be continue exploring expository writing this week. We
will focus on our state reports.
Spelling: This weeks words are homophones (words taht sound the same, but
are spelled different).
Math: We are now up to multiplying mixed numbers and later in the
week will be divding fractions.
Science: We will be focusing on the difference between in loudness and
pitch with sound.
Social Studies: We will be focusing on the government of Connecticut and
some of it's natural resources. We will have our US map test on Tuesday.
