Our new math Unit 4 has begun! This unit is on Division and will be
completed by Thanksgiving break. Our following unit will be on
Fractions/Decimals. Students' knowledge of their multiplication facts will
heavily influence their success in these units. Please keep studying and
reviewing at home. Unit Three tests will be sent home for signatures early
next week.

We have also started our second unit in Science...Sound and Light. What
causes sound? Why do we hear different pitches? What absorbs sound and what
materials reflect sound? Students will be investigating these questions and
more in the next few weeks!

Family projects have been assigned! Who was the first member in your family
to come to the United States? Why? How? Published pieces are due next
Wednesday, Nov. 18th. A graphic organizer and sample have been sent home.

Be sure to check our calendar and homework pages for other important
information.

We've done a great job of staying healthy so far this year! If your child
has a fever they MUST stay home until 24 hrs. AFTER the fever breaks. If
they are not feeling well, please keep them home. It helps them recover more
quickly and keeps their neighbors from getting sick as well.
