This year we will be trying weekly homework in K. Our day is so short
together that at home practice is a necessary reinforcement. It will always
have a rubric then the work. The rubric may change graphics or presentation,
but will always show the day of the week, the assignment, a place for parent
to initial, and a place for me. Make sure you initial after each child
completes each assignment.
In addition to weekly homework, we will be sending out monthly reading log.
You can write down a book title, date read, place for parent initial, and a
smile or frown face if your child liked or didn’t like the book.
Towards the middle of the year we will also be sending book bags home with
books chosen specifically for your child to get at home practice. I will
send a letter all about this as it gets closer to this.
