Students in room 13 will have nightly homework in addition to weekly 
assignments.

What to expect:
Weekly spelling packet (given each Wednesday and due the following Wednesday)
Nightly math homework
Science, Social Studies, Writing homework as assigned

Reading Log - Students should reserve some time each night to settle in with 
a great book. Each student is responsible for tracking his / her own reading. 
Reading logs are due every Monday.

Math Facts - A good rule of thumb is 10&10: 10 times a month 
for ten minutes. Make sure to keep track of practice on the monthly 
calendar that is due each month.

Don't forget, activities and sports offer many opportunities to work in math 
practice.  If your child's team scores three runs in a baseball game, ask 
how many runs they might score over the season.  Create a chart or graph to 
record their results.  Find the mean (average) of runs scored per game. The 
possibilities are endless regardless of the activity; baseball, softball, 
soccer, knitting, whatever!  Have fun with numbers!

Homework
