Ms. Belcher is excited for her sixth year of teaching mathematics at
Trumbull High School! She is located upstairs in one of the new classrooms
in A-House, room A-34. At THS, Ms. Belcher is the co-advisor of the
Freshmen Class, where she is looking forward to planning fun events with the
officers of the Class of 2012 and her co-advisor, Mrs. Payne. She is also a
member of the Faculty Advisory Council and is a BEST-certified Mentor where
she mentors student teachers and beginning teachers.
After school, Ms. Belcher works with students and families as a mathematics
tutor in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and the math SAT.
Outside of school, she is very excited and looking forward to her wedding in
February to Mr. Laird!
Ms. Belcher graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science
in Education and Mathematics and a minor in sociology. She then earned her
Master's Degree in Special Education at Southern Connecticut State
University. In the near future, she plans to return to SCSU for her Sixth
Year Certificate in Educational Leadership. She is very enthusiastic about
meeting her new students this year and teaching Algebra II 300, Geometry
200, and Geometry 400!
