This is my fourth year at Trumbull High School, and my fifth year in the
Trumbull Public School system, having previously taught 8th Grade Science at
Hillcrest Middle School. My two children either attend Trumbull Schools or
have graduated from Trumbull High School. My academic background is varied,
concentrating in engineering, environmental science and geology. I have
studied in Providence, Rhode Island, and New Orleans, Louisiana, and was an
environmental consultant for 14 years prior to beginning my teaching career.
I began my career teaching 7th grade in the Norwalk public school system.
My philosophy of teaching is based on a commitment to establishing the basics
of the scientific method through hands-on experience. I intend to provide
many inquiry-based opportunities to explore fundamental concepts of physical
and chemical sciences and how these concepts relate to the real world in
which we live.
