Remember, there is more to you than just your grade. Teachers evaluate how well you met a group of objectives within a set time frame. They are not judging what they think you’re worth as a human being. I was a student once too, and I know it can be difficult to separate our grades from our identities. (“She thinks I’m a C minus?”) Although you should certainly be proud of your accomplishments, if you are not thrilled with your grade, try not to take it personally; instead, let’s work on ways to improve. At the risk of sounding corny, I want you to remember this: Sure, not all students have the same grades, but you all are equally important to me!
