Extra Credit
I will offer extra credit for at least the first semester. It is due every Friday. In
order to receive this credit, you must write me a description of an occupation that uses
mathematics. The occupation could be anything. Use your imagination. Explain the job
description and how someone in that job may use mathematics. You should write a minimum of 5
sentences; however, this may not receive the maximum credit. You have the opportunity to earn
1, 2, or 3 extra credit points. I will determine how many points you earn based on the quality
of the paper. (And yes, spelling counts) The extra credit is added on to your next test.
Every Monday I will post an up-to-date list of the occupations that have been used. This will
be posted in the classroom and on teacherweb @
http://teacherweb.com/CT/TrumbullHS/MrTomZultowski/. You cannot use an occupation that has
already been discussed. All extra credit must be typed. Please use any resources you want.
More importantly, if you have questions, ASK!!!
