Updates & Reminders

November – Daily Routines Theme

For the next two weeks, we’ll continue learning about daily routines!  We’ll focus on practicing skills that we use to participate in daily routines such as mealtime to help us prepare for Thanksgiving!  We’ll be learning, reviewing, and practicing concepts such as location – (on/off, next to), size (big/small) sequencing (first/last), function of objects, matching, sorting, counting, turn-taking, and sharing using that we use and see daily!  We’ll continue developing these skills through hands-on learning activities using common objects such as forks, plates, spoons, napkins and food!!  We may participate in learning activities such as setting the table, and washing the dishes, putting different color/size feathers in the turkey,! We will work together to create a meal to share as a class (Thanks Mandy & Dawn for coordinating J).  We’ll read books including What’s Cooking and Splish Splash by Jeremy Lee, a teacher made book called Turkeys by the Table and more!  We’ll also be exposed to songs and fingerplays related to our theme, and we’ll be learning about the color purple!

Color Clothing days are Wednesdays.  Please send your child to school wearing one piece of purple clothing this Wednesday (Pants or Shirt). Thanks for your cooperation in this important and fun learning activity! J
