  1. What can I do to be ready for the first week of preschool?



What can I do to be ready for the first week of preschool?

1) Read the Welcome Letter on this site.
2) Fill out all necessary forms such as medical, classlist permission form, 
PTO interest form, etc. and put them in your childs' folder.  If you have 
not received these forms prior to the first day of school, you will receive 
them during the first week.  Remind Nurse Pat or Miss Hane if you have not 
received them after the first week.
3) Put together all needed materials such as backpack, snackpack, 
communication book, folder, 2 pictures of your child, extra clothes and 
wipes for the first day.
4) Talk to your child about school, help the transition and make it fun.  
Refer to the photo gallery page for a picture of Miss Hane to show your 
child.  Assure your child that you or the designated caretaker will be there 
to pick up each day either from school or off the bus. Provide a picture of 
you/ family members to be stored in your childs' folder or pasted on the 
communication book to help ease this transition. 
5) Write emails to Miss Hane prior to school starting to ask any questions, 
no matter how trivial.  Email addresses can be found on the annoucement and 
welcome letter pages.  Replies to emails will be as prompt as possible!
