What can I do to be ready for the first week of preschool?
1) Read the Welcome Letter on this site. 2) Fill out all necessary forms such as medical, classlist permission form, PTO interest form, etc. and put them in your childs' folder. If you have not received these forms prior to the first day of school, you will receive them during the first week. Remind Nurse Pat or Miss Hane if you have not received them after the first week. 3) Put together all needed materials such as backpack, snackpack, communication book, folder, 2 pictures of your child, extra clothes and wipes for the first day. 4) Talk to your child about school, help the transition and make it fun. Refer to the photo gallery page for a picture of Miss Hane to show your child. Assure your child that you or the designated caretaker will be there to pick up each day either from school or off the bus. Provide a picture of you/ family members to be stored in your childs' folder or pasted on the communication book to help ease this transition. 5) Write emails to Miss Hane prior to school starting to ask any questions, no matter how trivial. Email addresses can be found on the annoucement and welcome letter pages. Replies to emails will be as prompt as possible!Back to Top
