*Color Week= WHITE- Please dress your child in WHITE each day. We will also go on a WHITE hunt and look around our classroom, hallway and playground for WHITE (look for SNOW)! If you are able, please include a WHITE snack daily and we will play with WHITE toys (sensory play including rice table, goop, shaving cream and packing popcorn) during table top toys so that we can further learn WHITE in a concrete way! *Show & Tell- Kris Kringle gift is due for our next Show & Tell on Wednesday, 12/16 so that we can exchange during Show & Tell on Thursday, 12/17. Please keep to under $5, wrap and label with TO: and FROM:- thanks!!! **Thank you to all who brought in pictures of your family- if not yet, please send in a spare photo that we can complete our 'My Family' bulletin board. As we ease into the transition of home to school, this bulletin board will faciliate a sharing of our home life and be a place to go visit! For example: Miss Hane brought in a picture of her puppy Benny and three cats Ashleigh, Shishkabob and Ollie (you can have a sneak peak at them on the photo gallery page!). **If you have not done so already... Please send in a SPARE photograph picture of your pet(s)- we will have them mounted on a magnetized puzzle peice for a play center on our eisal! This picture will be cut and not returned- it will be used in the classroom. For example: Miss Hane put pictures of her 3 cats, Ashleigh, Shishka and Ollie and her puppy Benny on the puzzle peices and Mr. Jim put his dog Bailey! Thanks! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ~~> The Importance of Show & Tell: Thank you for helping your child participate by contributing each Thursday to our literature theme based Show & Tells- an educational culmination of all that we have learned! This activity is a fun way for your child to shine in the spotlight in a non-threatening way because it is an item brought in from home! Also, we are building language skills, cognitive ability and self- esteem by engaging in this weekly sharing with peers. This item will be returned to you at the end of the session. Please prep your child that the item will be stored under the circle cube chair for safe keeping and then put into the backpack at the end of Show & Tell. This item should be reviewed with your child to maximize participation! Keep up the great work!! ~~> Another way to help your child enhance overall skills: *Weekend/ Daily News- Write in your childs communication book each weekend or day about any special events, with as many details as possible. We will then read your communication book one on one or in circle to share with friends! This is a wonderful activity because the language that I elicit from your news is meaningful and relevent! Helpful hint: pictures with captions work best!
