1. The Annual PTA REFLECTIONS contest
The Reflections Program is a national event that urges students of all ages to create original artwork or writing toward a
national theme. All submissions must reflect the theme. This year the theme is:
"Beauty is ..."
This year, West Shore will participate in this national contest and we are hoping many of our students will submit entries in
any of the following categories:
- Literature (short story)
- Photography
- Fine Art
Additional info will come home with your student -- with the upcoming break approaching for the holiday, it's a perfect
time to use some 'down' time to create a masterpiece!!
2. Middle School Closing Exercises (8th Grade Graduation):
Thanks to many of you, we had a very successful Community Discussion in early December. There were many points of view presented -- and as a result -- a survey will be prepared and distributed to all in January in order to identify the items that are 'near and dear' to all. We will be asking Middle School PARENTS and STUDENTS in the entire district to complete a survey -- so please be on the lookout for it.
3. Spiritwear Sale:
We are pleased to present the annual winter Spiritwear Sale. Sweats, flannels, and lots more! Check out the order form
here.
4. Next Meeting: Please note next month's meeting will be held on JANUARY 25th! We needed to delay our date by one week, due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Hope to see you all there!
