Spirit Award Winners

Spirit Award Winners
 
The spirit award winners are chosen by the students of the class as well as myself.  We discuss what the award means and what kind of behavior is deserving of the award.  After our discussion, each student votes anonymously for one classmate.  Students can't vote for themselves and there will be a different winner each month.  I have found this method not only to be a fair way of choosing the winner, but also a great way to give the students ownership over their classroom.  The parent of the winner will be contacted in advance so they may attend the assembly.
