members are in each family and has names for every family. He discovers some
vents in his room and he looks out. He can see outside and her can see the

Have you ever experienced watching your brother get his tongue stuck
to a car mirror on a freezing cold day? Or have you ever had to cope with
your annoying brothers and sisters on a long car drive? Well, these are

The Watsons Go to Birmingham. This book is about an African-American family
in the 1960’s. The Watsons have to go to Birmingham to bring Kenny’s
brother, Byron, to their nasty grandmother’s old house for punishment. Byron
had done a lot of very bad, but funny things. Mrs. Watson even threatened to
burn Byron’s hand if he sets the bathroom on fire again! Before and after
Birmingham, a lot of exciting and extremely funny things happen to Kenny and
his family. In Birmingham, a fire even strikes the church! To find out what

The BFG by Roald Dahl
The BFG is a book about a girl named Sphie who is taken out of her bed by a
giant when she sees him one night. The giant is actually friendly, and he
takes Sophie to where he lives. The BFG describes that he is nice, and they
become friends. But, there are nine other bigger giants that eat people from
all around the world that live there too. Sophie and the BFG get to know a
lot of things about each other, and they help each other and become friends.
Later in the book, they need to go to the Queen of England to tell her about
something bad that is going to happen. Sophie and the BFG need the queen’s
help to save the people. You need to read the book in order to find out how
it turns out! Anyone, boys or girls will like this book and I would
definitely rate it a 10+.

Skellig by David Almond
Michael was looking forward to living in his new house, but not
anymore. His newly born sister wasn’t doing well and was in the hospital.
The house he just moved into was a dump, which had a garage about to fall
down. While he was helping his Dad fix up the house, he stumbled into the
garage. In it were old pictures and furniture. Spider webs and dust were
covering them. In the corner he saw an outline of a body and when he stepped
closer he saw a man. The man was weak and had a pale face. Over a couple of
days they became friends. During this time he showed his new friend Mina the
man named Skellig and they moved him to an abandoned house. When he is at
school he gets a call from his Dad saying that the baby is going to have
heart surgery. To find out if the baby and Skellig survive, read Skellig by
David Almond.

One Fat Summer is a thrilling book about an overweight boy. He goes
through being bullied all through the summer. He also gas to get a job
mowing a mean man’s yard. His friend gets a nose job and he feels her can
trust him. He learns how to do a great job mowing the lawn and he starts
losing weight from the exercise. He builds up enough strength to face his
bully. This is one of the greatest books in the world. Get it as soon as
you can! This is the most thrilling book ever! If you are looking for a
great and thrilling book, this is the right book for you.

World Wide Dessert Contest by
It all started 11 years ago when John Applefeller, a local cook,
entered a contest call the, The World Wide Dessert Contest. John had hired a
family friend who was 12 years old to help him our, his name was Sylvester S.
Sweet. Every year Sylvester would find a sneaky idea to steal John’s famous
recipes. Unfortunately Sylvester would take those ideas and enter them in
the contest. Every year he would enter John’s recipes, and with them he had
won the Silver Spoon for 11 years in a row. After 11 years John was ready to
quit since he came close to last place whenever he entered until his friend
Stanley encouraged him to try once more. Stanley was very good friends with
a famous cook named Ragppm on another island, so John and Stanley went to
visit him after Stanley got out of school. The Ragoon promised to help
Stanley and John with another idea. They ended up inventing roller-skating-
apple-pie. A year later John entered the pies and he entered into the finals
against his enemy Sylvester S. Sweet. John was disliked by most of the
judges, so he didn’t think that he had a fail chance in willing. Will John
Applefeller ever win the silver spoon? If you want to find out I would
