for the Open-Notes Quiz Do not put this off!
Tuesday - In class: 1. Check Vocabulary and give answers
2. Student work on Toc#10 The Heat Is On Introduction. Use the text to
reseach the topic. Include each list of words in a very informative
introduction paragraph. This is a rough draft. The Final Draft will be
assigned Thursday - due Monday.
HW: See Monday
Wednesday - In class: Film: Cold periods 6,7 & 8 (Period 2 assembly)
HW: Do Section 2-3 Vocabulary #12 - 20
You should have completed the notes for tomorrows 2-3 open notes quiz.
Be sure you have your notes with you Thursday.
Thursday - In class: 1. 2-3 Open notes quiz
2. Do Visualizing Convection Lab.
Assign HEAT IS ON Introduction Rough Draft for homework

HW - Complete 2-2 Vocabulary # 7 - 11
The two open notes quiz scores have been posted on Aspen. If the
scores are low, students are invited to come in to get assistance taking
notes after school next week until 3:00 on (Nov 10) Tuesday or (Nov
11)Wednesday. This past week about 10 students came in for help. These after
school note taking sessions will not continue so take advantage of the help
while it is available if this is an area of concern.
Also, this chapter has a large number of lab. This is reminder to make up the
labs before or after school ASAP. The materials are put away or passed on to
another science teacher to make room for a new lab set up. Some of the little
labs are demos done by the teacher. For these please come in so I can explain
the demo and give you any data to answer the related questions.
