What happens if a book is not returned by the due date?

Students who do not return materials on time will receive an overdue notice
through their classroom teacher. No late fines are assessed through the
Janney Library unless the item is lost or damaged.
When a student receives such a notice, he or she is expected to return or
renew overdue materials immediately. When an item is more than one month
overdue, it will be considered lost, a letter will be mailed home to notify
the parents/guardian, and the student will be asked to return, replace, or
pay for the item at that time.

lost must be replaced. Students are responsible for replacing those items. A
notice will be sent home with details on what has been lost and the cost of
replacement and steps that can be taken to fix the situation.
