Lost Book Policy:
When a child loses a book, they have two options:
1. replace the book with an identical copy; or 2. pay for the book with cash or check made payable to Janney PTA.
If a student subsequently finds the lost book (which has been paid for or replaced) they have two choices:
1. keep the book for their own collection; or 2. donate the book back so that the library will have two copies to circulate.
It is not the library's policy to refund the money as the library promptly uses the money received to purchase a new copy of the book for its collection.
If you have questions about any part of this circulation policy, please feel free to contact the library on 202-282-0110.
