My name is Elizabeth Koruda and this is my first year teaching second grade at
Janney. I am originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina and a HUGE Carolina
Tar Heels fan! I attended The Catholic University of America and was a member
of both the Basketball and Volleyball teams. Through the education program at
Catholic University, I completed a portion of my student teaching experience
in a fourth grade classroom here at Janney. Then I spent half of a year working
with the fifth grade team and taught second grade last year. I could not be
more excited to continue my career at Janney with the second grade team!
In second grade we will work hard to master and build on all of the important
skills and knowledge your child developed in first grade. My goal is for each
child to grow academically and socially, and develop into a life-long learner.
Every student and mind is different and I will work hard to make sure that
each student is challenged, successful and has fun this year!
