JAMESTOWN REMINDERS
OUR TRIP TO JAMESTOWN IS THIS THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5th!
Departure and Arrival Times:
• The buses will leave Janney at 6:15am sharp! Please arrive at the
school no later than 6:00 am and check in with your teacher.
• We will arrive back at Janney at approximately 6:30 pm. Please be
prompt in picking up your child at that time. We will call you at the number
you provided if we are ahead of or behind schedule.
What to Wear:
• Wear your Janney t-shirt or sweatshirt.
• Check the weather ahead of time. Children should dress for several
possibilities. They can leave items on the bus if they don’t need them.
• We suggest wearing layers so that they are prepared for everything
from a chilly bus to a warm, sunny outdoor walk. A hat and sunscreen is also
suggested.
• Bring a rain coat (or hooded jacket) in case of rain- we will be
outside all day. We can not use umbrellas in the exhibit areas.
• Wear comfortable shoes because we will be walking, walking, walking.
What to Bring:
• A small pack to carry with you as we walk around Jamestown.
Backpacks cannot be taken into the museum.
• 1-2 water bottles to carry around during the day.
• Breakfasts / snacks for the morning bus ride and a meal to eat on
the bus ride home. Please pack foods that will not spoil, and use cooler
packs to keep items cool. Students will leave their food bags on the bus.
• Quiet items to keep busy on the bus ride. Electronic games are
permitted with two notes: Anything with sound must have headphones and
students are responsible for their own items.
• Money (no more than $20) to purchase souvenirs on the trip. Students
will be responsible for their own money.
• A camera is optional (disposable cameras are a good idea). We will
be making a Power Point Photo Journal of our trip when we get back, so the
more pictures the better!
