Lelia Spears has been educating students young and old, from pre-K to retirement, for more than ten
years. She comes to Janney most recently from New York, where she completed the Reading Specialist
M.A. at Teachers’ College, Columbia University’s School of Education. Ms. Spears loves dancing, riding
her bike, and reading a good book. She’s also fluent in French! She is really excited to be joining the
Janney team as the Primary Interventionist, where she’ll work with students pre-K through 2nd grade on
reading and math skills in one-on-one and small group sessions.
