REPORT CARDS:
Report cards went home today. I hope you find them informative. I enjoyed
doing them ... even if I type with only two fingers. hahaha
Please return only the envelopes tomorrow.

CVC = consonant / vowel / consonant words
		i.e.: C/A/T    D/O/G

WOOF = WRITING ON OUR FRIDAYS

I am also forwarding a letter regarding reading. See below.

Social Studies: We are reading and discussing Pilgrims and Native Americans
We are finding out about life, various Native American homes and Northwestern
tribe totem poles.
We need - ASAP: toilet paper or paper towel roll.

Math Concepts over the next few weeks:

* addition and subtraction word problems
* number counting card games
* introduce the basic language of probability
* explore graphing, measuring, estimation, and probability activities
* counting by 10s aka "skip counting"
* introduce calculators
* pattern block templates

Phono Graphix groups are fun! The children are working hard and doing well.

WOOF = WRITING ON OUR FRIDAYS ------>>>> Thanks to all the volunteers for
WOOF! The children look forward to your visits. It is my hope that everyone
will have an opportunity to join us. Watch for our published "WOOF" stories
over the next month.

LAP READERS: Great to have you guest readers. The children love having a new
face and the stories you choose are delightful.

Thanks to Kelly Lee and Julie Song for helping the K-G Kids learn to weave. We
made our first of a series of K-G place mats for Thanksgiving.
The children will use them at the Feast and then you are welcome to bring them
home. K-G Alumni Kids stopped by after school today. They wanted to tell me
that their place mats were still being used every Thanksgiving. :)

In K-G we are remaining fairly healthy. Please remind your child of the
importance of proper hand washing.

All the best,
Marijke
