We are very excited about sharing our personal essays with you on Thursday,
March 20 at 9:00 A.M. I hope your schedule allows you to be there.
Have your child read and write daily. Let them read aloud to you several
times each week. Look at the Kids’ Post or Mini Page together and discuss
current events. Visit the library or a local bookstore often to get a
variety of books. Practice math facts daily. Have your child bring a
healthy snack daily. Remember to have them replenish any supplies
especially pencils.
During the teachers’ professional development on January 2 - 5 an excellent
book was recommended to me for parents and teachers. It is 7 Keys to
Comprehension – How to Help Your Kids Read It and Get It!, by Susan
