AP Latin Homework
The date given is the date the homework should be done at home by the 
student and will be due in class for the next class period, unless otherwise 
stated, as may be the case with longer projects. Homework assignments may 
also be subject to minor changes/additions. Students will be notified of 
such changes in class and should therefore check with the their classmates 
or the teacher if they have been absent from class.

WEEK 31:
Monday, April 8
- Read introduction to Book II (LaFleur), if not already done.
- Translate Aeneid, Book II, lines 40-56. (Laoocoon warns the Trojans)

Aeneas? Give evidence and cite line numbers from the Latin text to support 
your answer.

write down each Latin sentence. Put brackets around ablative absolutes & 
identify what type of participle is being used in the ablative absolute. 
(Remember that some ablative absolutes lack a participle and consist only of 
a noun/noun or noun/adjective pair in the ablative case). Then translate each 
sentence into English.
