Happy New Year to all! We are glad to be getting back into the swing of things! It will be a long, hard week adjusting after our long break from school! We hope that you enjoyed your holidays and snow days! We will be making up our Christmas party this Friday, January 8th. The children can wear their pajamas and we will have our gift exchange that afternoon. Please be sure to send in a wrapped gift that is religious or educational and between $5-$10. The children can only participate in the gift exchange if they have brought in a gift by Friday. We are starting our 3rd book in our Treasures Reading program. The spelling words for this 3rd unit have been posted on my TeacherWeb page. Our spelling words for this week are a review list (words that we have had a few weeks before the break). There are an additional five challenge words that are optional. We had several mistakes on the spelling tests with these words and I wanted to give the children another opportunity to master these words. If your child would like to practice the optional words and take them as part of the test on Friday, they will receive extra spelling credit for their work with these words. Have a great week!
