Dear Families of First Graders,

Well, what a surprise - - two snow days and no school for the rest of the year! I hope that everyone enjoys their snow days! We will make up our parties and our gift exchange (and hopefully our PJ Day) after the Christmas break! I will provide more details on the celebrations once I am sure what the school-wide plans are - e.g. is it still a dress-down and PJ  Day? When will K-2 celebrate their Christmas party?

Thank you to all of our wonderful Advent guests! We enjoyed sharing time with you in our classroom and we appreciate your taking time out of your busy schedules to be with us!

• First Grade donated almost $70.00 in loose change for the Ronald McDonald House "Light the Night" event. Your generous contributions put smiles on the faces of the children and families residing at the Ronald McDonald House during the Christmas season!

• We also contributed generously to the SPCA's “Christmas for God’s Creatures” program. We had many donations of dog toys, treats, and other goodies that helped make the holidays special for many animals at the Delaware Humane Society. Thanks for the generous contributions!

We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!   Enjoy a nice, long break with your family and we look forward to seeing you in 2010!
